JNTU-HYD Extends Academic Schedule

Hyderabad: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) has extended its academic schedule by two weeks to make up for the teaching hours lost due to 'T' tension.Class work will be conducted till April 26thThe authorities in a meeting held here on Saturday decided that the university examinations of II, III and IV year students which were to be held in the third week of April will now be held from May 10. The exams of first year students will begin from June 1.D N Reddy, vice-chancellor, JNTU said that the principals of affiliated colleges of the university agreed that they would take extra classes on Saturdays to cover portions before the examinations begin."The college authorities have agreed to take extra classes on all Saturdays. They have also agreed to work on optional holidays to cover portions," Reddy said.He said that some staff and faculty of JNTU and affiliated colleges will take up examination and classroom duties even during their summer vacation. The vice chancellor, however, said that the university will not bring down the required attendance percentage from 65 to 60 as was requested by the agitating students. "The students will have to have at least 65 per cent attendance to write the examinations," Reddy said.

Till now JNTU-HYD university had not given any notification regarding the extension of holidays.Don't trust or believe the updates which are forward by ur friends or some others to ur mobiles.According to the notification released by JNTU-HYD on 29th Dec-2009 it is mentioned that the colleges will remain closed till 5th Jan-2010.so its says that from 6th Jan-2010 the colleges will re-open.If any extension of holidays is declared or update regarding the exams is released by JNTU-HYD we will inform u through an sms alert.Trust the updates which u get directly from JNTUWORLD sms channels to ur mobiles.Note : No JNTU-HYD university exams will be conducted till the release of the new time tables.

Hyderabad : With the situation in Telangana diffusing considerably, The JNTU-H Vice-Chancellor D.N. Reddy said a decision on the new dates would be taken on Monday. He said that the fourth year first semester exam that could not be held was likely to be held on December 19, while the supplementary exams were likely to begin on December 21. “A final decision will be taken on Monday after studying the situation,” he said.

All examinations of JNTU Anantapur scheduled on 11/12/09 only are postponed. The remaining examinations will be conducted as per the Time Table. New date will be notified shortly - Director of Evaluation

As KCR had withdrawn his hunger strike & the Telangana issues had been solved.So the holidays may be canceled & all the colleges may be reopened & the exams may be conducted soon ( by next week the colleges may be reopened & the exams may be started ).So it will be better if all the students start their preparation for the exams.Still JNTU-HYD University had not released any notification regarding this.we will inform through an sms alert & update in this website as soon as the notification is released.

ADDENDUM FOR ONLINE APPLICATIONS

This is with reference to UPSC’s Advt. No. 05/2010 for Engineering Services Examination, 2010 published in Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar dated 30^th January, 2010. It is informed that in addition to the existing system of applying through a Common Application Form for the Examinations conducted by the Commission, the candidates for Engineering Services Examination, 2010 can also apply Online using the link http://www.upsconline.nic.in/ Salient features of the system of On Line Application Form are given hereunder :

· Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above mentioned website.

· Candidates will be required to complete the On-line application form containing two stages viz. Part-I and Part-II as per the instructions available in the above mentioned site through drop down menus.

· The candidates applying Online are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs. 50/- [excepting Female ,SC, ST & PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee] either by remitting the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI or by using any Visa/Master Credit/ Debit Card.

· Before starting filling up of on-line application, a candidate must have his/her photograph and signature duly scanned in the .png format in such a manner that each file size should not exceed 40KB each.

· The Online applications for Engineering Services Examination, 2010 (Part 1 and 2 ) can be filled from 6^th February, 2010 to 22^nd February, 2010 till 11.59 p.m. after which link will be disabled.
